On 3/29/18, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers were in possession of a search warrant for 35 Forbes St #1. Officers set up surveillance outside the apartment. The target of the warrant, resident Raphet Seda, thirty-five-years-old, exited the dwelling and got into a vehicle. Officers stopped him in the vehicle. Officers observed a switchblade knife and thirteen ammunition cartridges on the floor of the rear of the vehicle.
Officers entered the residence. A check of a bedroom revealed a shotgun, several shotgun shells, other ammunition, a clear bag containing a white powder, packaging materials, and a shoulder holster. A check of the kitchen area revealed several pills. A check of two abandoned vehicles on the property revealed a large quantity of .22 ammunition and rifle cartridges and digital scales.
A check of the CJIS system revealed that Mr. Seda did not have an FID card or license to carry firearms. He is charged with Possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute (cocaine), Possession of a firearm without an FID card (shotgun), use of a Firearm in a Felony, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon (switchblade), Possession of a Class E Substance with intent to Distribute, and several counts of Possession of ammunition without an FID card. Mr. Seda was placed under arrest at about 8 PM and will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
