On July 7, 2020, at about 5:30 PM, Worcester Police officers were on patrol in the area of Shrewsbury St when they received a call for a female dealing drugs from a parked black Mercedes. An officer approached the vehicle in the area of 475 Shrewsbury St and observed a double-edged knife, a crack pipe, two bags of what appeared to be heroin and one bag of what appeared to be crack cocaine sitting on the center console. The occupant, identified as Johanna Gardell, thirty-seven-years-old of Pleasant Valley Drive, was placed under arrest.
A search of the vehicle yielded two scales, three bags of what appeared to be MDMA, additional bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine and heroin, two bags of what appeared to be fentanyl, and various prescription pills. Ms. Gardell is charged with three counts of Possession of Class B with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class E with Intent to Distribute, two counts of Possession Class A with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon. She will be arraigned in court.
