On 1/19/18 at about 9:20 PM, Worcester Police were dispatched for a reported robbery attempt on a pizza delivery driver in the area of Grafton St and Pilgrim Ave. Gang Unit officers were in the area and spoke with witnesses, who described three males who were standing on Standish St. When the driver got out of the car to delivery his pizza, one of the males ran at him and said, “Give me your money.” The driver immediately ran away and called police. The attempted robbery occurred right before the police arrived.
Police immediately canvassed the area and spotted three men at the intersection of Grafton and Plantation St who matched the description given by the driver. When police approached them, the three men appeared startled and immediately began walking in the opposite direction. One of the males, later identified as Dante Blake, eighteen-years-old of 321 Lincoln St, had covered up his face with his sweatshirt. The victim responded and identified Mr. Blake as the male who attempted to rob him. Dante Blake was placed under arrest for Attempt to Commit Unarmed Robbery. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
