On Saturday June 29th, 2019, a Worcester Police officer was assigned to the Summer Impact Program and was on patrol in the area of Queen St. The officer observed a Nissan Rogue fail to make a complete stop at the intersection of Queen and Shepard St. The officer ran the vehicle’s information through CJIS, which revealed that registration plate on the rear of the vehicle did match the vehicle. The officer activated his blue lights and stopped the vehicle, and observed the operator, Jesse Knight, thirty-five-years-old of 93 Arthur St, climb into the back seat of the vehicle.
After a brief investigation, the officer discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day on June 29th. Jesse Knight’s right to operate a motor vehicle was revoked in Massachusetts. He was placed under arrest and charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Operating After Suspension/Revocation of License, Illegally Attaching Motor Vehicle Plates and a Stop Sign Violation. He was transported to the station by the wagon for booking. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
