On November 10th, 2019 at about 9:30 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Penn Ave for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The owner reported starting her vehicle to warm it up, and coming outside to find it had been stolen. The vehicle description was BOLOed over the radio.
Approximately ten minutes later, other officers observed the vehicle on Harrison St. Officers observed the passenger, later identified as Jesse Knight, thirty-six-years-old of Dorchester St, run out of the vehicle, and the driver, later identified as Brian Horne, thirty-seven-years-old of First St, began to accelerate in speed and turned on to Green St. Mr. Horne turned on to Pond St, and found his way blocked by another cruiser. Mr. Horne exited the vehicle and began to quickly walk toward one of the officers when he was placed under arrest. Mr. Knight was located and placed under arrest.
Brian Horne is charged with a warrant, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle without Authority, and Fugitive from Justice on a Court Warrant. Mr. Knight is charged with Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Authority. They will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
