On February 24th at about 4:45 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Tacoma St for a report of unruly bike riders. Multiple operators said that they observed youth on bicycles surrounding a car stopped at a stop sign. The operator of the car had beeped her horn at the rider, who were blocking the road. One of the bike riders jumped on the hood of her car and began stomping on the hood. He stomped on the windshield until he smashed it, and then got on his bike and drove away. Officers checked the area without success.
After the incident, officers checked the cameras in the Great Brook Valley security system. The incident was captured on camera, and the officers were able to see the suspect. On March 1st, police went to his residence to speak with him. When the male answered the door, the officers identified him and placed him under arrest for Malicious Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace. The male is seventeen years old and will be arraigned in Worcester Juvenile Court.
