On April 1st at about 6:40 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the corner of Perry Ave and Millbury St for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers observed that the accident occurred between an Honda truck and two motorcycles, each of which had a driver and passenger. The four people on the motorcycles were all on the ground and appeared to be seriously injured. The paramedics responded and delivered medical treatment, and transported the four victims to the hospital. Police shut down the road and called for the Crash Reconstruction Unit to respond.
The preliminary investigation of the Crash Reconstruction Team revealed that a Honda Ridgeline truck was traveling southbound on Perry Ave. The truck stopped at the intersection of Perry Ave and Millbury St with the intention of turning left on Millbury St. Two motorcycles were traveling north around the bend in the road on Millbury St. The lead motorcycle struck the left front end of the Honda, resulting in the two riders being thrown from the motorcycle. Less than a second later, the second motorcycle struck the left rear end of the Honda, resulting in the two riders being thrown as well.
One of the motorcycle passengers, a nineteen-year-old Paxton female, was transported to the hospital but was pronounced deceased. The other three victims are in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
