On November 6, 2019 at approximately 6:45 AM Worcester police were dispatched to the vicinity of Queen Street for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival an officer located a 22-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to his back. The officer rendered aid to the victim until paramedics arrived. Additional responding officers located a second victim suffering from a stab wound to his chest. The 19-year-old victim was conscious and alert. Both victims were taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation reveals that a verbal argument turned into a physical altercation between the two victims and the suspect who was identified as 38-year-old Carlos Rodriguez of Worcester. During the investigation Mr. Rodriguez was located and charged with two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
