On Friday, February 9, 2018, at approximately 2:02 AM, Worcester Police responded to a Shotspotter activation for the area of 64 Jackson Street. Upon the officers arrival they observed several pieces of evidence in the general area of the activation location.
A resident of one of the apartments approached the officers and stated that his window was struck with one round and that it had imbedded itself into a ceiling support beam approximately 15 feet above the floor.
There were several officers that responded to the area. Officers searched the area for potential suspects but were unsuccessful. Officers searched the immediate area for other potential property damage but came back with negative results.
Members of the crime Scene Unit arrived and processed the recovered evidence.
At this time there is limited information with regard to a suspect(s) description along with no information with regards to a potential target or motive.
There were no injuries reported.
