The Worcester Tornadoes are a member of the Canadian-American (Can-Am) professional independent minor league baseball league. They play their home games at Hanover Park at Fitton Field on the campus of the College of the Holy Cross. The Tornadoes whirled into Worcester, joining the Can-Am league in 2005. In their first season the Tornadoes won the league championship over the Quebec Capitales.

Worcester Sharks

The Worcester Sharks, a member of the American Hockey League (AHL), is an affiliate of the NHL San Jose Sharks. The Worcester Sharks began play in the 2006-2007 season and call the DCU Center in downtown Worcester home. The AHL returns to Worcester as the Sharks take a bite out of the competition!
