JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

The City of Worcester, Department of Public Works & Parks Engineering and Architectural Services Division is seeking applicants for an entry level Civil Engineering position. The engineer will perform technical and professional engineering work as required.
The successful applicant will work in both the office and in the field on a variety of engineering assignments associated with: roadway design, traffic, sanitary, storm water, and sewer. The engineer will also review plans and applications for construction projects and may be assigned to inspect public and private construction projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience conducting engineering research
• Strong analysis and design skills
• Skill in making engineering computations
• Excellent communications skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Previous experience/skill with GIS
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Candidates with current E.I.T. certification
• Working knowledge of construction materials
SALARY RANGE: $51,030.64 - $68,040.86 annually, full-time, with an excellent benefits package including health insurance and retirement. Additional annual stipend of $1,000 for Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Additional stipends available for current EIT, SIT or for RLS or PE certifications.
