HIRING AND START DATE CONTINGENT UPON COVID-19 EMERGENCY
The City of Worcester seeks motivated individuals to maintain the City of Worcester Parks and park facilities. Under the general supervision of the Seasonal Maintenance Director, Seasonal Maintenance Workers perform routine maintenance operations including, but not limited to; green space maintenance, event operations, facility maintenance and other work as assigned. All work is performed outdoors, in all types of weather and in accordance with the City of Worcester standard park/ cemetery maintenance practices and procedures.
Qualified candidates will be able to interact with patrons and the general public in a proper and professional manner; work in varying weather conditions; work in accordance with City of Worcester standard park/cemetery maintenance practices & procedures; operate and use power equipment & hand tools, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to a height of 48 inches; and ability to work twenty (20) hours per week.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to a height of 48 inches
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• First Aid and CPR/AED Certified
• Previous work experience in the field of parks and/or facility maintenance
SALARY: $13.50 hourly, part-time, seasonal, non-benefitted
