Join the Worcester Public Library as a Library Page! This is a part-time position, assisting staff in the Circulation Services Division, at the Main Branch location. The incumbent will possess great organizational skills, have a strong sense of attention to detail, and be motivated and excited to work in a busy public library setting. The ideal person in this position will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills and have experience working with diverse populations in an urban community.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to consistent, outstanding public service for all patrons; be an enthusiastic self-starter with professional demeanor; possess excellent organizational skills and ability to plan/prioritize work effectively; demonstrate proficiency in current and emerging technologies; have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships; to be flexible and handle various assignments; to work well independently and as part of a team; to learn and use library technologies; to maintain patron confidentiality; to push book carts and bins loaded with library materials; to reach and retrieve books at high and low shelf heights; to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time; to performing bending, stopping, lifting, pushing, and twisting; & to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.

SALARY RANGE: $11.00 hourly, 12-19 hours/week
