HOUSING DISCRIMINATION INTAKE WORKER

The Office of Human Rights & Disabilities is seeking candidates to fill the position of Intake Worker. Under the supervision of the Director, the Intake Worker shall assist community members by providing outreach and education regarding their federal, state and local civil rights with regard to housing discrimination, conduct general intake and referral with individuals and families who believe they have been the victim of discrimination, and work in partnership with the Office of Human Rights and Community Legal Aid. This position requires occasional travel for outreach, home visits and offsite intakes.
The successful candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; have strong written and verbal communication skills; have a demonstrated commitment to human rights, civil rights, and equal opportunity; have an interest in and sensitivity toward working with diverse populations; have the ability to work at least one evening per week and the occasional weekend as needed; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; & have the ability to facilitate training sessions & educational outreach meetings.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

SALARY RANGE: $16.98 hourly, full-time
