EMERGENCY COVID-19 DISPENSING SITE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

The City of Worcester’s Division of Public Health seeks to fill the position of a temporary COVID-19 Emergency Dispensing Site (EDS) Volunteer Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Public Health or his/her designee, the EDS Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for supporting volunteer operations at the Worcester Senior Center EDS site. This role will support scheduling and basic training of clinical and non-clinical volunteers and managing volunteer communications.
The EDS Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the EDS site is appropriately staffed with clinical and non-clinical volunteers to guarantee that the vaccination process takes place without interruption. The successful candidate must have experience with volunteer scheduling and follow-up, volunteer/staff supervision, online portals, desktop/iPad/smart phone applications and excellent customer service skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Three (3) or more years of previous customer service in a fast paced environment
• Volunteer Management Experience
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office
• Previous experience with portal navigation, iPad and smart phone applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates Degree
• Knowledge of Emergency Dispensing Site Plans
• Emergency preparedness experience
SALARY: $25.01 per hour, 40 hours per week, temporary grant funded position
