PRINCIPAL ACCOUNT CLERK

The Auditing Department seeks applicants for the position of Principal Account Clerk. The Principal Account Clerk is responsible for the pre-audit of accounts payable invoices submitted for payment by City and School departments. Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the Principal Account Clerk’s daily tasks include reviewing and approving invoices, recording approved invoices for payment, recording approved general journal entries, storing physical documents and converting to electronic archives, providing assistance as needed to department personnel and answering incoming phone calls.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
SALARY RANGE: $18.06 - $23.93 hourly, full-time, with an excellent benefits package.
