SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKERS
(PARK STEWARDS PROGRAM)
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & PARKS
CITY OF WORCESTER

The City of Worcester’s Department of Public Works & Parks is seeking Seasonal Maintenance Worker (Park Stewards Program). This position will perform routine maintenance operations including, but not limited to: green space maintenance, event operations, and facility maintenance. The duties will involve manual labor throughout the City of Worcester in a variety of public land including Parks. Employees must be able to interact with patrons and carry themselves in a professional manner. All work is performed outdoors, in all types of weather and in accordance with City of Worcester standard park maintenance practices and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 16 years of age (work permit required under age 18)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds to a height of 48 inches
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work in variety of weather conditions

STARTING SALARY: $12.00 hourly, seasonal
