The Division of Youth Opportunities seeks candidates for Programming Lead (MLE) for Recreation. This position is responsible for program development, staff training, family engagement, staff supervision and the Mentorship, Leadership, Experiencing (M.L.E) program. This position will work with the Youth Opportunities Division to support staff in the implementation of athletic, academic and arts programs for various age groups. The qualified candidate will have the ability to perform work with considerable independent judgment, creativity, and initiative.

The qualified candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, organizations, and interests; the ability to work with students with special education/emotional needs; the ability to multitask; the ability to work in a face-paced environment; ability to provide and receive constructive feedback; the ability to work under minimal supervision; and the ability to build relationships and networking skills with participants, families, colleagues, and community members.

• Associate’s degree in human services or other related field
• One (1) year of administrative experience
• Two (2) years of staff supervision experience
• Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities
• Must pass a criminal background check (CORI & SORI)

SALARY RANGE: $16.00 hourly, fulltime, seasonal
