The Chief Diversity Officer seeks an intern to assist with various functions within the Executive Office of Diversity and Inclusion to help shape and support our efforts to advance Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). The Diversity & Inclusion intern will be responsible for assisting with a variety of high priority and time sensitive projects pertaining to strategic planning and strategy development, research and data analysis, marketing and recruitment, outreach and engagement, relationship building and networking, professional development design and planning, policy development, and general office administration. The Intern will also develop and implement marketing initiatives, such as; outreach materials, monthly e-newsletters, and manage social media/digital platforms; establishing engagement and community building opportunities; and providing administrative support to the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability/ reliability/ flexibility; excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. The Diversity & Inclusion intern will have the ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive them to completion; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and good judgment; and the ability to work with diverse populations.
MINIMUMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Experience with project management
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Working knowledge of publication-specific software tools
SALARY: $14.00 hourly, part-time, temporary, non-benefitted
