ASSISTANT SUMMER RECREATION LEADER I, VIRTUAL
(PROGRAMMING LEAD)
DIVISION OF YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES

PENDING FUNDING APPROVAL

The Assistant Summer Recreation Leader I (Virtual) will collaborate and support Virtual Youth Workers to develop program content and weekly lesson plans for virtual programming. Responsibilities for this position will include coaching Virtual Youth Workers in lesson planning and virtual programming implementation, overseeing all program reports and communicating updates to the Summer Recreation Leader I (Virtual). This position will identify training and professional development for Virtual Youth Workers, will participate in virtual programming as needed, will disseminate and collect program evaluation surveys, and will support the Summer Recreation Leader I (Virtual) as needed.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills; will have demonstrated proficiency with computers; and will have a strong understanding of virtual programming. The qualified candidate will have the ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations, organizations, and interests; the ability to work with students with special educational or emotional needs; ability to build relationships and networking skills with students, colleagues, and community members; ability to provide and receive constructive feedback; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to multitask

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to pass CORI & SORI check
  • Must have an updated physical in the past 12 months
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities
  • Experience facilitating activities and programming

STARTING SALARY: $15.00 per hour, part-time, temporary, non-benefitted
