WORKDAY TRAINING COORDINATOR
TECHNICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT
CITY OF WORCESTER

The City of Worcester’s Technical Services Department seeks applicants for Workday Training Coordinator to develop and support City-wide Workday ERP training needs. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of a Workday training strategy as the City transforms to modernize its ERP systems, operations and processes. Other responsibilities include developing detailed training work plans, schedules and timelines; supporting departments during the change management process of the Workday ERP implementation; responding to Help Desk service requests for Workday support; monitoring training effectiveness and work with the implementation team to refine training as necessary; and participating in the Workday Community, training and regional user groups to keep abreast of new features.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Workday ERP modules;
  • Experience in planning, creating and delivering software training content to end users;
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Software including PowerPoint, Word and Excel;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all user levels;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and make sound recommendations for resolution;
  • Ability to be versatile and handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations in a fast-paced organization;
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field;
  • Three (3) years of experience using and supporting Workday ERP modules;
  • One (1) year of experience in delivering Workday training;
  • One (1) year of experience creating course content;
  • One (1) year of experience delivering software training; OR,
    • Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job will be considered in lieu of the above mentioned requirements.
  • Knowledge of adult training techniques.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Three-five (3-5) years of experience in Workday training.
  • Three-five (3-5) years of experience delivering software training.
  • One (1) year of experience creating Workday course content.
  • Workday Certification.

SALARY RANGE: $66,663.34 - $87,117.34 annually, full-time, with an excellent benefits package.
