TEMPORARY PART-TIME DRIVING RANGE STAFF

HIRING AND START DATE CONTINGENT UPON COVID-19 EMERGENCY
The Department of Public Works & Parks is seeking applicants for the position of Driving Range Staff. This position reports directly to the Assistant Golf Professional. Range staff shall ensure the range is properly cleaned and stocked with golf balls at all times. Position is part-time seasonal, anticipated as 24-30 hours per week from April through November.
Specific responsibilities include the following: checking range hitting area to ensure it is clean of any trash; returning golf ball buckets to the vending area; moving marked hitting areas as needed or determined by the Assistant Golf Professional; checking and ensuring golf balls are clean and the dispensing machine is full; moving and managing all necessary equipment for the use of the range; checking range cart for fuel and inspecting vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order; hand picking perimeter of range and any areas necessary; and other duties associated with the operation of the range.
The successful candidate will possess strong verbal communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with the public/patrons; ability to walk upwards of a mile; ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 30lbs.; ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, as required. Shifts are between 6:00AM and dusk.

SALARY: $13.50 hourly, part-time, seasonal, non-benefitted
