PRINCIPAL CLERK / RECEPTIONIST

The City of Worcester’s Division of Elder Affairs seeks candidates for Principal Clerk-Receptionist. This position provides general administrative support for the City’s Senior Center. The Principal Clerk-Receptionist is responsible for providing superior customer service, which shall include but is not limited to: front desk reception, registration and reservation facilitation, as well as transportation and program logistics. Duties include, but are not limited to, receiving visitors and answering telephone calls, maintaining files/records, assisting with registration processes, arranging tours and other visitor amenities.
The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience in providing excellent customer service in an office setting; the ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA; to establish and maintain effective working relationships; and to communicate via Outlook. Additionally, the Principal Clerk-Receptionist should have excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective record keeping skills; demonstrated word processing skills utilizing Microsoft Word; and familiarity with office practices (multi-line telephone, copier, calculator, and filing).

SALARY: Starts at $17.46 hourly, full-time, excellent benefits package.
