The City of Worcester seeks applicants for the position of Chief Diversity Officer (CDO). This position reports to the City Manager working in concert with the Director of Human Resources and works closely with the Director of Human Rights and Disabilities, members of Human Resources Department, as well as department heads and Cabinet members. Under general direction, with a great deal of latitude for independent initiative, judgment and decision making, the CDO will develop, implement and monitor programs that promote diversity within the city workforce. This role is responsible for developing training and initiatives to create and foster an open and inclusive work environment. The CDO will serve as the ombudsman for employment diversity issues.
