The Division of Youth Opportunities seeks candidates for Program Coordinator positions and Site Coordinator positions for the Recreation Worcester Program. The Program Coordinator and Site Coordinators will be responsible for program development, staff training, family engagement, and staff supervision. The Program Coordinator and Site Coordinators will work closely with the Division of Youth Opportunities and community partners, such as the American Red Cross, to connect youth interested in child care education and training. Responsible for assisting with two childcare program sessions in collaboration with community partners. The qualified candidate will have the ability to perform work with considerable independent judgment, creativity, and initiative.
The qualified candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, organizations, and interests; the ability to work with students with special education/emotional needs; the ability to multitask; the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to provide and receive constructive feedback; the ability to work under minimal supervision; and the ability to build relationships and networking skills with participants, families, colleagues, and community members through video conferencing platforms.

• Six (6) months of previous supervisory experience
• Six (6) months of previous related experience with youth development work
• Must pass a criminal background check (CORI & SORI)
• Must have an updated physical exam in the past 12 months
• Valid work permit required if under 18 years of age
• Experience facilitating OST (out of school time) activities
• Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
SALARY RANGE: $16.00 - $17.00 hourly, part-time, seasonal, non-benefitted.
