ASSESSING DIVISION INTERN
ASSESSING DIVISION
CITY OF WORCESTER

The City of Worcester is seeking an Intern to provide administrative support to the Assessing Division. The Intern will assist with front office coverage, and will provide exemplary customer service both in person and over the phone. The intern will also be responsible for picking up/dropping off and sorting the division’s incoming and outgoing mail. The Intern will also assist with data entry and organization into the division’s data/document management systems. Other responsibilities include file management; and assisting with related projects and tasks.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong time management skills and attention to detail; will have knowledge and experience providing excellent customer service; ability to maintain professionalism under all circumstances; ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask in a fast paced environment; ability to work with diverse populations; ability to operate standard office equipment; ability to answer high volume phone calls and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with data entry and file management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous customer service and/or clerical experience in a professional office setting

SALARY RANGE: $15.00 - $16.00 hourly, part-time, temporary, non-benefitted
