Programming Services

The Programming Services section develops applications to meet the needs of city user departments. This group enhances and supports client/server applications such as payroll, purchasing, fund accounting, budget, human resources, tax billing and collections, water/sewer and elections. Staff members also develop and support PC-based applications for departments such as the City Manager, City Clerk, Police, Fire, Public Works, Public Health, Building & Zoning, Purchasing, Human Resources, Law and Auditing. As a result of these programming efforts, business processes have been automated in many city departments. In most cases, significant reductions have been realized in the overall time to process business transactions.
