The Purchasing Division mission is to procure materials, equipment and services at the lowest possible cost consistent with the quality necessary for the proper operations of the various City departments, thereby attaining the maximum value for each public dollar spent.
Moreover, this office endeavors to:
maintain the City's reputation for fairness and integrity and to promote impartial and equal treatment to all who wish to conduct business with the City.
encourage a mutually cooperative relationship with requesting departments recognizing that successful purchasing is a result of team planning and effort.
promote social and economic goals such as encouraging small, minority and women-owned businesses to participate in bidding of City purchases.
