Social Media

The Division of Emergency Management has a broadened its outreach to the public through the use of social media and Web 2.0 tools. This allows for the timely dissemination of important information to citizens via a variety of avenues.

The Emergency Management Division uses Facebook to post alerts, emergency information and safety tips. Residents are encouraged to "like" the page to receive newsfeeds from the division and stay current on important information.
 

Twitter Follow Emergency Management on Twitter
To receive text alerts, you may "Fast Follow" the Emergency Management Twitter page even if you don't have a Twitter account yourself. Simply text the phrase, "follow worcesterem" to 40404 via your cell phone and you will receive the latest Tweets (standard text messaging rates appy). To stop receiving these Tweets, text the phrase, "leave worcesterem" to 40404.
