Motor Vehicle Excise
City of Worcester Motor Vehicle Excise may be paid through our online payment partner UniBank Government Services by using checking account information (EFT), MasterCard, Discover or Visa cards.

Important information below, please read carefully:

Excise tax amounts displayed as due or overdue are specific to the registration entered. A separate transaction is required for each registration you wish to pay.

Any registration marked for non-renewal at the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) must have payment in full of all outstanding bills for that registration prior to the mark being released.

The City notifies the RMV on a daily basis as to payments received for City of Worcester Motor Vehicle Excise bills only. Payment to the City of Worcester will not release a mark placed on a registration by another jurisdiction.

The release of a marked bill by the RMV may take up to five (5) business days.

pay in full all outstanding Excise taxes due to the City of Worcester on a specific registration that has been marked for non-renewal, and you need an immediate release, please contact us at
