The Office of Public Health Nursing comprises registered nurses who provide myriad preventive and educational services to the Worcester community. Public health nursing promotes and protects the health of populations using knowledge from the nursing, social and public health sciences.

Q:
Will a Public Health Nurse come to visit me if I have a communicable disease?
 A:

Yes. The Public Health Nurses investigate reports of all communicable diseases and will either call you, visit you, or send you a letter.

Q:
Do you offer TB (tuberculosis, PPD, Mantoux) tests?
 A:

Public Health no longer offers Immunization Clinics.

Q:
Do you have a Travel Clinic?
 A:

Public Health no longer offers Immunization Clinics.

Q:
Do you give Malaria pills?
 A:

No. We neither write nor fill prescriptions. However, we can help you find out what type of Malaria prevention is appropriate for the areas to which you will be traveling.
