 A:

Yes, State code requires permits.

Q:
What is required for the welding of all gas lines?
 A:

A "Welding Card" issued by this section is required for welding of high pressure lines. A card is not required for welding low pressure lines.

How many restrooms are required for a commercial establishment?
 A:

Required restrooms vary depending on the type of business and the square footage involved.

Are handicapped restrooms required?
 A:

Yes, in places of assembly. The required number depends on the square footage involved.

Are unisex restrooms allowed?
 A:

Yes, only if the establishment does not exceed 1200 square feet.

Is a gas test required prior to placing a boiler or heater in service?
 A:

Yes, testing the system prior to operation is very important.

Q:
Is a permit required to clear a clogged drain?
 A:

No permit is needed.

Q:
How often must a plumber or gas fitter register and how is this done?
 A:

They must register every two years. Applicants must submit a copy of their license, a notarized Workman's Compensation waiver if self employed with no employees, or proof of Workman's Compensation and Liability Insurance if you have employees or are not self-employed.
