Description

The City of Worcester DPW & Parks is seeking applicants interested in the position of Motor Equipment Repairman. Typical duties include repair and maintenance functions on a wide variety of municipal vehicles. Modern, clean and well-lit garage.

Full uniform service provided free of charge. Annual bonuses ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 for select ASE certifications; also receive $125 annual boot allowance. Specialized technical training offered on an ongoing basis. Overtime is available.

Prior professional experience as a mechanic is preferred. Shift work may be required.

Candidates interested in applying for this position must report, in person, to the City of Worcester’s Department of Human Resources, Room 109, at Worcester City Hall to register on the Civil Service list for this title. Proof of possession of a valid and current MA CDL license is required at time of registration. Candidates in this classification are subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
