There will be a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Residential Drop-off Center located at 1065 Millbury Street.
Residents may participate by appointment only, which may be scheduled by calling the Customer Service Center between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or online at this link: https://www3.worcesterma.gov/Applications/OCSC/Home/HHW.
Proof of residency is required. Residents may drop off up to twenty-five (25) gallons or twenty-five (25) pounds of hazardous materials free of charge.
Household Hazardous Waste must be transported to the drop-off site in the trunk of vehicles. Residents will be required to remain in their vehicles during their appointments. Staff from an outside contractor will remove material from the vehicles and dispose of them properly.
Partial list of acceptable items: Furniture polish, oil-based paints, insecticides, charcoal lighter fluid, antifreeze, driveway sealer, and syringes (in a sturdy, sealed container).
Partial list of unacceptable items: Motor oil, latex paint, and empty aerosol or paint cans.
