Recreation

The Recreation Section will coordinate and continue fundraising initiatives to secure the funds required to maintain the collaboration with Worcester Public Schools for after MCAS recreational programs at four sites. Recreation with continue to seek private fundraising initiatives to secure the funds required to host the Annual Youth March Madness Basketball Tournament. Recreation will work collaboratively with Worcester Professional Baseball (Worcester Tornadoes) on baseball clinics and other events with the city's professional baseball team. This section looks forward to a collaborative relationship with the AHL team, the Worcester Sharks, on city events and fundraising opportunities. Recreation shall also continue to pursue grants and donations to restore/expand/enhance and/or create new recreational programs.
