The License Commission serves as a regulatory board for various licenses issued by the City including licensing purveyors of alcoholic beverages. The Commission strives to issue licenses that will be an asset to the community and to ensure that all rules and regulations pertaining to licenses are complied with in order to protect the safety and health of the public.

The License Commission will continue processing all new license applications and renewal applications as quickly as possible. In addition, the Commission will continue its efforts to promote, cooperate and interact with licensing authorities and licensees for greater compliance with license laws.

License Applications

The License Commission is responsible for issuing a variety of licenses. To learn more about the regulations and requirements to obtain a particular license visit the Planning & Regulatory Services Document Center.

NOTE: The State of Massachusetts is requiring all liquor applications go through the State's system. Please visit the State of Massachusetts ABCC Website for fillable applications and information. Please contact the License Commission Oiffice at (508) 799-1400 ext 260 to obtain additional forms/ instructions to file.
