Green Hill Park Farm is closed until further notice; city parks and open spaces remain open.

  • Baseball, softball and field hockey games may start being played. Leagues must meet Phase III Step 1 requirements. Permits are required and no tournaments are allowed.
  • All fields for football, soccer, rugby, lacrosse and ultimate Frisbee remain open for practice only.
  • The City is also allowing events in parks that meet the Indoor and Outdoor Events to Address COVID-19 Guidelines. Large events, such as street festivals, parades and road races will not be allowed. Events will be restricted to 25 percent of a facility's maximum capacity (no more than 25 people or 50 in an outdoor setting).
  • Handball courts at Green Hill Park and Crompton Park are open for play.
  • Tennis and Pickleball courts are also open, while Basketball and Volleyball courts remain closed.
  • Playgrounds in 35 parks and the Skate Park at Green Hill Park opened Saturday, June 20.
  • Dog parks are reopened as of Friday, June 12.

Fairmont Park is located atop Poet Laureate Hill off of Grove Street. Largely a neighborhood park, it has a playground, circular half basketball court and a picnic area. This park also features amazing views of downtown Worcester. In addition, Fairmont Park has an amphitheater and occasionally hosts various events at the park.
