Councilor Germain

Michael J. Germain

Michael J. Germain of 63 Fairmont Avenue, #3, a retired Insurance Executive and head hockey coach at St. Peter-Marian Central Catholic High School, is serving his third two-year term as a Councilor-At-Large.

He is a graduate of St. Peter-Marian Central Catholic High School, Worcester. He received a BS in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester.

As Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Municipal Operations, he and his committee members consider all matters involving municipal operations and procedures including: human resources; employee health care; workers' compensation and injured on duty; unemployment compensation; the retirement system; taxation, fees, charges and other revenues; and the City Clerk, City Auditor and other municipal support operations.

Councilor Germain believes that protecting and enhancing our many neighborhoods and funding park facilities and recreation programs are issues of high priority.

He is the father of one son, Connor.
