Councilor Economou
Anthony (Tony) J. Economou of 9 Carriage House Lane, a realtor with RE/MAX Advantage 1 and housing contractor, is serving his first two-year term as District One Councilor.
District One generally includes the following neighborhoods: Salisbury Street, Westwood Hills, Assumption College, Hancock Hill, Grove Street, Holden Street, Indian Hill, Indian Lake, Greendale, the Summit, Quinsigamond Community College, upper Burncoat, Clark Street, Lincoln Village, Great Brook Valley, Curtis Apartments, Montvale and Massachusetts Avenue Local Historic Districts, Hammond Heights, Bancroft Tower, Winter Heights and Richmond/Flagg.
He is a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School and attended both Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI and Assumption College in Worcester.
As Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Traffic & Parking, he and his committee members consider all matters pertaining to traffic and parking ordinances and off street parking facilities.
Councilor Economou believes that our school system and economic development are issues of highest priority.
