Virtual Memorial Day Program

    While we cannot gather in tradition to honor our veterans this Memorial Day, the City of Worcester acknowledges the significance of this important holiday and the sacrifices made by all of our military personnel.

    Join City Manager Edward M. Augustus, Jr., Mayor Joseph M. Petty and Worcester City Council along with honorees and guests as we pay tribute virtually to our fallen heroes.

    Program will be available on the City Government Channel - Spectrum 192, online at worcesterma.gov/video-on-demand and on Facebook.

    Program to include:

    • Wreath laying
    • Water ceremony
    • Behind the Scenes footage of the new WWI/Memorial Grovenconstruction, set to be complete soon.
    • Remarks by public officials and others.

    Memorials and cemeteries are being dressed as usual and flags will be placed on all graves of veterans.

    Show your support and solidarity for our veterans at home by:

    • Hanging a flag
    • Placing a light in your window
    • Decorating your door or yard in Red, White and Blue
