Mail In and Online Permit Applications Require Prior Registration: Prior registration consists of a copy of your license, along with a copy of your Workers Compensation Insurance documentation, having been placed on file/registered with the Department of Inspectional Services. If you are registered a completed application, along with a check made out to the City of Worcester may be mailed to:

Counter Registration and Application Process: If you are not registered with us please visit our 25 Meade Street facility, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Once you provide a copy of your official license and Workers Compensation Insurance documentation you can begin to use the mail in or online application process.
Fire Alarm Installations: This permit must be applied for in person at our 25 Meade Street location.
