The City of Worcester will host a Winter Carnival at the Worcester Common Oval on Saturday, February 16 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event features ice skating as well as family friendly entertainment such as the Snowzilla Jr. inflatable slide, soccer dart board game and food trucks with items available for purchase. Also included will be a beer tent featuring “Worcester’s Bravest,” a collaboration by Wormtown Brewing and Wachusett Brewing.
Spectators are also welcome to attend a Public Safety Broomball Tournament on the Worcester Common Oval among teams from the Worcester Police Department, Worcester Fire Department and Worcester EMS. Broomball games will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Admission for open skating is $5, and free for children six and younger. Skate rentals are available for $5. Skating for all first responders and their families will be free of charge.
