Worcester, MA (June 25, 2014) - Weston & Sampson, a professional consulting firm with more than 400 employees, will open an office in downtown Worcester in September, the company announced Wednesday.

The company, which has public and private clients throughout the northeast, will occupy a 3,200 square-foot office at 427 Main St. Between 15-20 employees will be located in Worcester. The firm, which has headquarters in Peabody, signed a five year lease with an additional five year option.

"Every day, we see more evidence that businesses see downtown Worcester as a highly desirable place to be," said Worcester City Manager Edward Augustus. "Between cultural opportunities like our summer Out to Lunch Concert Series and the completely renovated DCU Center, increasing private development, new restaurants, and proximity to some of the largest companies and organizations in the region, it's easy to see why."

The City's Division of Business Assistant, part of the Executive Office of Economic Development, helped Weston & Sampson locate available office space in the city.

"Weston & Sampson views Worcester as a prime location to accommodate our growing workforce. Worcester is a highly desirable location for our core business activities, and the downtown area is an affordable and convenient location for our employees to work and commute," Director of Marketing Robert Goober said. "The City's Executive Office of Economic Development offered outstanding support and service assisting us with our office location search. Their knowledgeable and professional staff guided us through the process from start to finish."

The owners of 427 Main St., Branded Realty Group, recently completed renovations to the property that have attracted top-level tenants – Harvard Pilgrim and now Weston & Sampson – proving again that businesses will locate to quality office space in downtown Worcester.

They are also in the process of renovating 60 & 72 Shrewsbury St., which will soon be the home of a new 11,000 square foot space for Wormtown Brewery. The property is also home to restaurants Sweet, Volturno Pizza and 7 Nana Japanese Steakhouse; and The Hidden Jewel and Worcester Magazine.
