Worcester, MA (January 19, 2016) - City and school officials next week will gather to make an exciting announcement regarding the expansion of the popular Recreation Worcester program.
The event will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 21st, in the gym at Chandler Elementary Community School, 114 Chandler Street. Parking is available on Jaques Avenue behind the school.
City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr., Mayor Joseph M. Petty, City Councilors Morris A. Bergman and Gary Rosen, Superintendent of Schools Marco C. Rodrigues, District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr. and Chandler Elementary Principal Jessica Boss will speak.
Recreation Worcester is the City's free recreation program. Last summer, 11 parks across the City saw more than 10,000 visits from Worcester kids who took part in supervised sports, arts and crafts, and educational activities.
