Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks, who discussed the ordinance for honorary street titles traditionally allowing for the title to stretch across two (2) contiguous blocks.

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized the following speaker:

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized Councilor Bergman, who discussed the merits of Judge Luis G. Perez receiving the honorary street title.

Chairperson Councilor Russell discussed a construction timeline for the road, if approved, with the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks.

Chairperson Councilor Russell then brought forth the following two (2) Chairman’s Order: “Request City Manager request Commissioner of Public Works and Parks review Wayne St. to determine whether any maintenance can be completed to allow cars to safely drive the road, prior to the street’s private to public conversion,” and, “Request City Manager request City Solicitor contact the residents of 2 Autumn St. to provide them with legal information that precludes the city from completing work on private roads.”

Chairperson Councilor Russell moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be approved.

Recommend Approval on a roll call vote of 3 Yeas and 0 Nays

Chairman's Orders

Request City Manager request Commissioner of Public Works and Parks review Wayne St. to determine whether any maintenance can be completed to allow cars to safely drive the road, prior to the street’s private to public conversion.
