Chairperson Councilor Russell read the item and recognized the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works and Parks, who provided the recommendation for approval.

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized Councilor Mero-Carlson, who discussed the needs to install the guardrails at the location.

Chairperson Councilor Russell moved to accept the recommendation.

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works and Parks, who provided the recommendation to deny, as the location does not meet warrants for a guardrail.

Chairperson Councilor Russell then discussed the costs of guardrail installation with the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works and Parks.

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized Councilor Bergman, who discussed the criteria for guardrail installation with the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works and Parks.

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized Speaker #1, who spoke concerning the landscape, lack of sidewalk and traffic volume relative to nearby businesses and school in the vicinity of the intersection of Rudolph St. and Sunderland Rd.

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks, who discussed the needs for sidewalks on Sunderland Rd. and safe passages to the school in the area and the budget for guardrail installation with Councilor Bergman.

Chairperson Councilor Russell discussed the guardrails that have been installed in the area with Councilor Bergman.

Chairperson Councilor Russell then discussed whether the city has the infrastructure to sell trash bags online, the feasibility for the city to sell trash bags on online vendors such as WasteZero and Amazon and the benefits for local vendors to sell city’s trash bags with the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks.

Chairperson Councilor Russell recognized Councilor Bergman, who discussed the feasibility of selling the trash bags on Amazon and the reason behind supermarkets running out of bags in stock with the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks.

Chairperson Councilor Russell moved to recommend the item be held.
