1.       Report of the Committee on Traffic & Parking upon the communication of the City Manager transmitting communication relative to Route 146 - Millbury/Ballard St.

Recommend Approval subject to written notification to the affected property owners and renters and a subsequent public hearing.

 

Further to align the existing sections of Millbury Street into one continuous

street by implementing the following points:

 

1.     To change the name of Ballard Street to Millbury Street.

2.     To rename the section of Millbury Street between Ashmont Avenue

and Harding Street to another new name (Olde Millbury Street).

3.     To rename the section of Millbury Street between McKeon Road

Through (and) Wray Square to new Millbury Street) to Blackstone River Road, or, another new name.

4.     To renumber Millbury Street properties where appropriate.

Council to consider naming the new access road adjacent to Liberty Properties as Tobias Boland Way.

Chairman’s Order request the Administration provide the City Council with a report revealing the basis for the naming of Ballard Street.

 

Chairman’s Order request the City Solicitor provide the City Council with an opinion whether or not property deeds need to be changed immediately upon a change of street name and/or street number.

3.       Petition of John Lapin request a minor 8" sanitary sewer extension on Tory Fort Lane a distance of 122 ft from terminus of existing sewer to service a proposed single family home at Lot 23; at the expense of owner and under prior agreement and in accordance to City of Worcester specifications.
