Chairperson Councilor Rivera read the item and moved to take the item up collective with Item #3b.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera recognized the Director of Public Health and the Director of Coalition for a Healthy Greater Worcester, who discussed the history of the Department of Public Health and provided a presentation on the 2021 Great Worcester CHIP, including information on the framework, strategy, agenda and goals of the plan, and how REACH Priorities align with the CHIP.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera recognized the REACH Program Manager, who provided a presentation on the REACH Program, including information relative to its mission, strategies and operations, and future plans.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera recognized the Director of Coalition for a Healthy Greater Worcester, who provided a presentation on the construction of Goddard Elementary Multi-Use Playspace.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera brought forth the following Chairman’s Order: Request City Manager formally recognize appropriate city staff for receiving the 2020-2021 Robert Wood Johnson Award Cultural of Health Prize for its public health initiatives.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera moved to recommend the item be held.
