Approval of the Minutes

Order- That the City Council Standing Committee of Public Health and Human Services hereby approves the minutes of the Public Health and Human Services Committee meeting on March 23, 2021.

Chairperson Councilor Rosen read the item and moved for a roll call vote to adopt the item. Order adopted on a roll call vote of 2 Yeas and 0 Nays (Rivera absent)

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Item

3a.

Communication of the City Manager recommend adoption of the attached resolutions to file and accept entitlement funding under the City of Worcester’s Fiscal Year 2022/ Program Year 47 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program, funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). # 10.4B CM July 20, 2021

Attachments

Chairperson Councilor Rosen read the item and provided an overview of the funding process and programs receiving funding from the HUD.

Chairperson Councilor Rosen recognized the Director of Neighborhood Development, who discussed the new recipients and denied applicants of the grants, as well as provide an overview of the grants in comparison to previous years.

Chairperson Councilor Rosen recognized Councilor Rose, who spoke concerning the item.

Chairperson Councilor Rosen moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be approved.
