Chairperson Councilor King read the item and moved for a roll call vote to recess to executive session for the purpose of discussing the contract and salary associated with the hiring of Eric D. Batista as Acting City Manager and to reconvene back to open session after executive session.

Recessed to executive session on a roll call vote of 3 Yeas and 0 Nays.

Chairperson Councilor King reconvened the meeting in Open Session at 12:48 P.M.

Chairperson Councilor King discussed the date of the next Municipal and Legislative Operations Committee meeting with the Deputy City Clerk.

Chairperson Councilor King brought forth the following Chairman’s Order: Request City Manager request City Solicitor provide City Council with report concerning the exact language pertaining to the nomination and appointment of Acting City Managers and City Managers.

Chairperson Councilor King brought forth the following Chairman’s Order: Request City Manager request City Solicitor provide City Council with a report detailing the status of the nomination of Assistant City Manager Eric D. Batista to Acting City Manager, specifically as it relates to whether the nomination is not resolved until such a time that a contract is signed.

Chairperson Councilor King moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be held.

Recommend Hold on a roll call vote of 3 Yeas and 0 Nays

Chairman's Orders
